Tunguska enigma unravelled... maybe.

The Tunguska blast of 1908 is one of history's biggest mysteries, and even more cool-erer it's mentioned in Ghostbusters. Anyway, on the 30th of June 1908 something hit a un-inhabited region of Siberian forest and destroyed an area three thousand square kilometers wide. The resulting dust cloud was visible from London, over six thousand kilometers away. An atmospheric shockwave circled the earth twice. But what's the mystery I hear you cry. Ok, well maybe not but anyway... Spookily enough there was no impact crater.

So why am I mentioning this? It's not exactly breaking news. Well, now some Italian university boffins believe they have solved the riddle of Tunguska. So it's your duty as inquisitive little so-and-so's to get your head into some of this.

Once again thanks to cosmiverse for making my mornings almost barable.
